Welcome from Richard Jay Simon, Executive Artistic Director

It is a tremendous honor to welcome both familiar faces and new ones to Mosaic Theatre's landmark 10th anniversary season! This New Year promises to be our most exciting yet as we open with an extraordinary comedy from the Reduced Shakespeare Company, Completely Hollywood (Abridged) which makes its Southeastern US Premiere following a record-breaking run at the Kennedy Center. Some of you may well remember our sold-out production of RSC's The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged in 2003 and this play is a nonstop laugh machine as well! This outrageous comedy will be followed by Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies' masterful play Collected Stories which just recently completed its successful Broadway run. Audiences will then delight in Martin Casella's uproarious play The Irish Curse, a new comedy about guys with one tiny problem. This recent Off-Broadway hit won numerous awards in both New York and London. We are very excited to then produce the latest and greatest from celebrated author Stephen Belber, a wonderful play titled Dusk Rings a Bell which just completed its Off-Broadway run with actors Kate Walsh and Paul Sparks. Mosaic audiences might remember our critically acclaimed production of Match which was also written by Belber. Finally our season concludes with one of my favorite playwrights, Pulitzer-Prize Winner Sam Shepard, with his new play Ages of the Moon, a poignant and honest drama by "one of this country's most important dramatists" (NY Times).

I encourage you to subscribe today as we continue to tell engaging, thought-provoking stories that reflect our human spirit.

My friends, these are extremely difficult times. If Mosaic Theatre is important to you, I ask that you make a donation to the theater. Now, more than ever, we need your help.
